Our story
James P. Johnson Music is the official organization of the Johnson Family. The organization is dedicated to the preservation of the creations of James P. Johnson. Through the James P. Johnson Legacy Project the family is dedicated to furthering the deepest wishes of Mr. Johnson. His concern was for education, especially for those who did not have access to professional music lessons. We continue his concern by collaborating with music educational programs to help support talented youth with their endeavor to learn about music.
